Chargepipe came in less than 2 days with free shipping. Don’t hesitate to purchase products from arm. Build quality is very good and install wasn’t too bad.
I was impressed by the quality and the ease of the install. I did however have an issue with the charge pipe seal. I have a 2009 bmw 535i e60 and the new charge pipe no matter what I did didn’t seam to seal as well as my previous using the stock diverters. I ended up putting a coupling in my charge pipe to throttle body to ensure a good seal. Have not had a chance to try it out but hoping it has a good seal.
I originally ordered this charge pipe with the tail flange even though I had already bought an HKS bov. Obviously the parts didn’t match up but I was able to send it back in and they sent me another charge pipe with the correct flange. The only small problem with it is that it’s made for bmw 335 and mine is 535. Since they don’t make the hks flange on the 535 charge pipes the fitment is off a little bit. This causes the power steering hoses to be squished but it works and has held up pretty good.
Pretty straight forward install no boost leaks. I can no longer fit the air duct piece that brings cold air from the grille to the DCI, so this product effectively made my DCI a Hot air intake and caused constant heat soak issues. Installing aftermarket intercooler helps with heat soak on the engine but I can't imagine the hot air feeding the turbos is good for them.
Used this on my e61 and I’m very glad I did. The parts are made of quality metals and it has a nice mat finish.
